In the shadow of an the economic boom there are always people who getting laid off and left behind. In India there are people who have traditionally been regarded as not pure,
they are discriminated against and are known as untouchables or of a low caste.
They call themselves "Dalit" . It has meaning oppressed being.
Despite that the caste system was abolished by the Indian constitution already in 1950,
it is still alive and a part of Indian daily life. The history of hardship is going on.
